Stewart’s is absolutely trash. Go to Midway or Frostop for a good hotdog if not Hillbilly. People have kinda gotten over it but Fat Pattys is and will always be amazing. Don’t care for the Peddler but Ale House and Buddy’s are great spots too

In case we end up not making the trip to Hillbilly, what's the best hotdog spot in town? Stuart's? FroStop?

I don’t care about your personal politics, but the answer to that question from locals is going to be 100% political.

FroStop is very liberal and promotes the drag stuff.

Stewart’s doesn’t get political as a restaurant/business but local liberals hate them because their owner was a Republican state rep and he’s now a Republican county commissioner.

Stewart’s used to sell their hotdogs at Marshall sporting events, until the left cried and had them canceled.

Yet you only give a political view. Stewart’s is just not that good of a hot dog. Frostop is the 2nd best dog IN DOWNTOWN. Midway blows them both out of town.

I like both, but I agree with HerdFanz that if I had to pick between the two, Frostop would be my first choice.

No love for Sam’s with the spicy sauce? Guess I’m an outsider on the hot dog scene.

Just personal preference, but if I was visiting Huntington and was only getting one opportunity for dinner, it would be Backyard (if you want good pizza and beer) or Calamity Cafe (different kinds of food, but the meatball sandwich is spicy and delicious, and a good beer selection).

Both have a good atmosphere and play to your washed-up, 30 something, night on the town angle.

That's great. Had nothing but good experiences (other than the game) when y'all came to Harrisonburg.

Tudors just a couple blocks from the stadium, and I may get my fan card revoked but I'd take Frost Top any day over Stewies

Lots of Chinese, otherwise there's Taste of Aisia on 4th Ave, and a Pho place on 3rd ave just off campus...

Roosters is a franchise. It's like recommending BW3 or Hooters. Max and Ermas was also a franchise but I liked their food. Miss them.

I used to love the Sam's Hotdog with Spicy Sauce. But honestly, I don't even know where a Sam's Hotdog Stand is anymore, and I still live here.

Have you been to Fat Patty's lately? That place has gone down hill bad the last few years. My wife and I walked out of the B'Ville location it was so nasty. Won't waste my money there - or any location.

Fat Pattys is horrible. Best Cheeseburgers are...

1. Ale House - Vibe is amazing. Great menu selection and a huge beer menu. Cheeseburgers are life changing.
2. The Peddler - They brew their own beer and rootbeer. Good menu selection. Cheeseburgers are almost as good as Ale House... almost 03-wink
3. Oscars - Vibe sucks, music and beer is good, cheeseburgers are phenomenal. The walls are all painted orange 03-puke

After he sold to that Jacksonville company it did go down hill. They ruined the atmosphere for sure and the food wasn’t up to par. However the new owner has worked hard on getting it back and it’s been much better the last couple of times I’ve been. The bacon cheddar fries are still the best thing to exist. He hasn’t improved the atomsphere but the food does taste better. At least the Ashland location is good again.

I honestly don't see much difference in Midway, Frostop, or Stewarts. Maybe it it because I load mine up with toppings. With that said, my favorite is Frostop only because that is where my father took me as a kid.
