First, some background. I used to visit Yellowstone N.P. almost every year. Stopped doing that a few years ago. When I did visit, it never failed to amaze me how stupid people were around wildlife. Some seemed to think it was a petting zoo.

I watched one clown with his kid walking down a slope by the road towards a Grizzly Bear. Luckily a Park Ranger was nearby and got the man to come back up. Afterwards I asked the Ranger what the guy was doing and he said the man told him that was going to put his kid on the back of the bear to take a picture.

I have a picture I took of somebody throwing food to a bison standing not 10 feet from him - right next to a sign saying not to feed the animals.

Because of the twitter thing going on, I can't embed the tweet, but a family got too close to a Bison and after signs that it was getting annoyed, it charged at them. The parents left their daughter and all scattered. The Bison targeted the girl and launched her high into the air. She wasn't killed and it is unknown if she was injured. That is what is in the tweet - footage of the event.

I remember reading an article several years ago about a couple visiting Yellowstone, saw a moose calf out in the snow that looked cold. They somehow managed to get it into their SUV and take it to a ranger station. The ranger that they talked to told them they just killed that calf. The mother will never take it back now because it has your sent on it. He also said the mother was probably nearby when they took the calf.

I recall a story about some guys unleashed dog decided to jump off one of the boardwalks into one of the bubbling mineral holes.

Hero guy, the owners friend decided to dive in and save the stupid dog.
Water was about 145 or something?

Yea he and the mutt got cooked to death.

People have grown up with Disney shoving animals are people too down their throats. They don't recognize them as dangerous because media literally teaches animals are better than people.

Animals are better than people, but you have to remember that people are really f’in bad. Being better than people just requires not hurting something for no reason. People do that consistently, animals rarely do.

Cats regularly torture smaller animals for fun. Not to eat them. Not just talking housecats either. Many animals eat their young, even when there's extra food around. Many species will intentionally slowly kill the runt of the family for sport. I mean I really could go on, but just searching the meme "damn nature you scary" is enough. Humans are better than animals. There's a few bad apples, but we as a species do not torture things for fun, eat our own kids etc.

Every time I hear an actress say how much she admires animals for how much better they are than people, or one of those stupid songs singing about it. I just laugh.

Raccoons kill the first for food and the rest for fun.

disclaimer: for the betterment of the whole, I lobby as pro-choice during the first trimester ... IMO, as ugly as it it is, it's a necessary E-val as the alternative is much worse when they turn to the black market for this procedure...

People who know the least about animals and spend the least amount of time around them are the ones that unironically say "I just love animals, I love them more than people". I don't blame people that all that much if they don't like people but saying they're worse than animals is just another form of loopy leftism. Most of them would eat you if you weren't just too big to fit in their mouth.
