I took a stroll through your new neighborhood this morning, looks a lot like the old neighborhood, but with a community pool.

Honestly glad you guys are back with Memphis, that should help with attendance in football and basketball. Hopefully it will be long lived and it helps be more attractive for other OOC home games. One of South, Troy, GaSt, JxSt and MUTS on the home schedule each year would help as well in football.

Well, we have played JSU, did a HH with South and Troy, have a HH with Ga State and Troy (4 game series), South, so that hits all 4 you mentioned. Next real opportunity to play another is most likely 2031 and beyond with a move, (I am told), to play a lower tier so called P5 team HH on future schedules. We will play an FCS each ear most likely a local SWAC as long as they will return the call.

Moving forward I see our AD trying to do:

Buy game with local SWAC
Rotating H&H with Troy and South Alabama (not at same time)
Guarantee vs SEC team
h&H with a p5 or some sort of rotation with USM, WKU, MTSU mixed in, based on his comments of hoping to continue to play them

That’s a good plan and exactly what I’d like to see South do.

“G5” teams I’d like to see are ECU, SMU and USM added in, as well as the new Big 12 schools.
