The Mavs summer league play Saturday on Saturday at 2:30pm on ESPN2.

Trey Jemison and the Suns summer league play on Saturday at 8pm but it's on NBA TV.

Jelly didn't sniff the court in the first half of his first summer league game with the Mavs. He has been seen cheering on his teammates in the first half from his spot near the end of the bench. Dallas trails OKC 48-42.

Game’s been a snoozer. Bunch of sloppy street ballers. Not sure what the point of the bench being that deep is, if not everybody gets an opportunity in meaningless ball.

Not everyone is going to play every game unless it's a top rookie or someone on the main roster. Jelly's going to be taking those backup PG spot for some games behind Mckinley Wright.

Don't be surprised if Trey doesn't play every game either

The Mavs have a total of 16 players on their summer roster. Looks like maybe 14 or 15 are dressed today. They played ten players in this game, and Jelly wasn't one of them. Not a great sign for him for the summer league, but maybe he gets some good experience and can do well in the D-League.

Jelly was basically the last guy on the bench miles away from the coaching staff, didn’t get a single minute of playing time, and the coach never even feigned looking his way. Not a good sign. He looked like a total afterthought. His body language was good though.

Hopefully its some part of their strategy, only playing certain players certain games… That’s what I hope anyways. Because that did not look good for him at all.

Jelly is going to have to score more than he gives up to see the court, and based off of what went on this game, I’m assuming that didn’t happen in practice yet. The NBA unfortunately just doesn’t have a lot of room for 5’10” 2 guards. I get that it’s his dream to play in the NBA, and I’m glad he is able to chase it. The deck is stacked against him without a doubt, but he does have a lot of great qualities. Maybe he will pull off the unthinkable, but I definitely think it will take a year in the G League for him to really show what he can bring at this level.

Jemison starting for the Suns tonight. Going toe-to-toe against the other Tall T - Tacko Fall.

Trey is getting stops. Sometimes twice on same possession. Nobody cleaning up. Wings are losing 1on1 matchups allowing for some back door layups, behind him. Not impressed with fall besides size.

Wow trey has 6 & 6 to go with a steal and a block.. and he started as you guys said. Really happy for him. I hope he gets signed to the roster.

Jelly got 9 minutes tonight all at the end of the 3rd and most of the 4th due to an injured player
6 pts on 2/5 fg, 3 assist, 1 rebound

Trey had another good game and might play his way into a 2 way if he keeps it, up in 26 minutes he had
10 pts 4/4 fg, 3 rebs, 1 assist

i saw trey in the stands watching the 4th quarter of Jelly's game.

UAB band of brothers!

You may have seen the video today of Jelly hitting a patented step back three for a buzzer beater to end the first quarter in the Mavs' game against the Warriors. Well, he played 18 minutes and that was his only bucket. He was 1-for-9 from the field.

Trey had the night off after averaging about 10 and 7 through his first three games, all starts, for the Suns.

Great night for Jelly. Looked like the way he played at UAB. And they obviously gave him some level of a green light, with him taking 18 shots.

I was worried about Jelly early on but these last two games he has definitely earned a two-way or at least a G-League contract.

Trey also stared every game with the Suns; however, I just looked and the Suns do not have a G League team. So we shall see if he gets a contract with the Suns or someone else snags him up.

Overall, I believe Jelly and Trey will either be playing in the NBA on a two-way deal or at least starting on a G League team this fall.

Jelly is in a tough spot in Dallas. It's basically the G-League with them the way the contracts are there at this point. I think he's actually earned a 2 way deal, but playing in the G-League will allow him to prove himself either way.

I think Trey has earned an NBA contract at this point. Even if it's the 13th or 14th dude on the bench who provides a big body in practice. He has really impressed me with how well he's performed. I would be really surprised if he gets anything less than a 2 way deal.
