I agree Matt, I assume that’s the most likely outcome.

I also may be alone in this opinion, but I have no interest in bringing Anderson back. He didn’t want to be at UAB the first time, what would make things different the second time around? His style has also been hampered by all the rule changes the past 20 years.

Program was a mess when Bucky took over, not to mention it was the Covid year. His team had a ton of injuries his second year and he won the program's first SoCon title in his 3rd season. Bucky is 48-35 with back-to-back 21-win seasons. Padgett was 47-54 through first 3 seasons with one 20-win season.

His first team had covid all throughout the year and that was when there was the 2 week quarantine recommendations and even himself had it bad enough to where medical attention was needed. He's had the worst luck with injuries to his best players throughout this past year as well. If you think Bucky and Padgett are the same then you don't know ball at all

Bucky won with the best high school players money could buy. That does not mean he can compete at the AAC level when he has a lot less to spend on talent than his peers.

If you're implying about Trendon then his dad and Bucky's dad are long time friends due to their occupations and Trendon's brother and Bucky played basketball together. If you think the Grant brothers were worth paying for then you're greatly mistaken and people only knew about Colby because of his family not necessarily that he was projected to be an nba player yet alone a high D1 player. I take it you've never watched him coach at samford and seen the environment/$ he's brought in

My guess is that Huggins is just trying to get a payout from WVU to go away.

They're probably going to wind up trying to fire him for cause. If he sues he's going to burn a lot of goodwill, certainly within the WVU administration.

I don’t think that burning goodwill concerns him at this point. He would be walking away from a lot of cash. I suppose thought that it would diminish WVU’ s interest in AK which would be a good thing for us.

Like I wrote at the time, a pathetic old drunk doesn't get to choose his replacement. This sort of scotches any "insider" rumor that Bob was pushing AK for the job. Bob was off in a rehab trying to shake off the hallucinations.
