RE: Kalamazoo - one of top cities for college grads in 2023
It makes sense...Lots of new, well-paying jobs. Downtown redevelopment is ongoing. Low cost of living. Lots of great restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues. Great farmers market. Fun events downtown all summer long. Lots of young people. Great outdoor activities nearby with lakes and nature preserves. Easy access to major highways, large airport, and Amtrak. Relatively short drive to GR, Detroit, Chicago, or Lake Michigan. Not to mention...The Kalamazoo Promise!

Kzoo checks a lot of boxes for what young college grads want. Cities in the northeast and west coast are completely unaffordable now, and the hot, up-and-coming cities in the south are also getting super expensive (also way too hot in the summer). Between major industry, the Promise, and low cost of living, Kzoo has positioned itself well compared to many other cities. Can't do much about the winters, though...

Nothing new here. Glenn Miller was always big on Kalamazoo.
