More Reasons to Hate the P5
8 Home games.
Ranked in the top 25 before the season starts.
Paid ungodly millions to play a game.

Now the B10 is whining and crying about having to play night games in November for primetime TV on NBC!!!

https://www.espn.com/college-football/st...ncertainty

"Multiple sources told ESPN there's been pushback from a number of schools, including Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State, to play those late-November night games under the new contract."

THE HORROR!!!!!

I swear if these P5 teams had to put up with what the G5 has to deal with, I think they'd spontaneously combust. 03-nutkick

Don't forget they also have "collectives" that help them with NIL deals.. And won't be fined for tampering if caught..

Pretty sure we all have collectives now, major difference is the bank roll behind them.

ACC-SBC Mega conference

Pitt, Syracuse and BC would have to leave geographically while GT and FSU are the only 2 schools accessible to SBC west division.

As long as those games are in CA, it will not be a big deal. November weather in CA > November weather in the Midwest.

RE: More Reasons to Hate the P5
November in Southern California is like mid-Spring weather.

And if they're not in Southern California, they're playing in very chilly weather...on their own turf. Autumn can get noticeably cold in places like Wisconsin and Michigan, and I'm not sure the California players will be accustomed to that kind of chill. Consider it a home field advantage.

Not really understanding these complaints...

A CFB account tweeted asking what’s next for Pitt football. I said I see 9 breaking away from the ACC to form a southern-based football-first conference while Syracuse, BC, Pitt, and probably Wake Forest joining the Big East.

Or…Make it an even 10 and take everyone south of Louisville cutting the northeastern teams out completely (Sorry Georgia Tech, you contribute nothing). I would say Notre Dame but if they’re not joining the new B10 they’re not joining anything.

Doesn’t it just make too much sense to have UConn, Syracuse, BC, and Pitt all together? Let them form a scheduling agreement with the Big 10 east, the AAC and the CAA to fill out their schedules. Like a 4 team mini conference. “Independent together”.

There are too many law schools in those 7-10 ACC schools who want out of their GOR to not figure out how to do it.

So they expected to expand their game inventory without adding any new time slots?

It’s amazing how stupid smart people can be.

If I played football in the B1G, I know I would MUCH rather play my November games in SoCal, rather than ANYPLACE else in the conference!!!

Amazingly, this is the first I knew that the Big 10 actually had a TV agreement to not play November night games, I knew I had never seen a Big 10 Night game that I could remember in November, but I didn't know that it was a contractually agreed to point.

With all that money you’d think they’d install heater coils under the turf and play in f*ing prime time.
