And that is the problem. 8-4 against the 2023 schedule requires no improvement but it keeps Coach Mediocrity around another couple of years at least....

With our '23 schedule, RS should have us playing in the conference championship game or be fired. Anything less is continued mediocrity & firing should then include the AD.

It will be interesting to return to this thread in January, and see who moved up and who moved down, and why>

My thoughts are the AAC schedule makers threw the the # 6 ranked FB coach a seriously weak schedule for the AAC 3.0 FB season.

Silverfield plays the # 10, #11, # 12, and # 14 ranked coaches on the road this season. He gets the # 1, # 4, # 8, and # 13 ranked coaches at home.

I bolded the coaches that will be matching strategy and wits against Silverfield this season. Road games are in red. The 5 worst ranked coaches are on the TIGERS schedule. The three highest ranked coaches on the schedule play at MEMPHIS.

The OOC schedule for MEMPHIS is Bethune-Cookman, at Arkansas State, vs Missouri (in St. Louis), and Boise State.

Right now CRS should finish 8-4 at WORST and 10-2 is not unreasonable.

if Memphis goes 8-4 Silverfields job might come down to getting W number 9 in a bowl.

If you guys think Silverfield will be fired at 8-4, with all due respect, I think you're delusional. I do agree the schedule is easy, and 8-4 seems like the floor, but who knows?
