Interesting...wonder if that means we'll get player themed drinks or just marketing reps. Seems like a weird partnership given the population of potential players is much smaller than others, but good to see a bigger local company stepping in!

I always heard they weaned their kids with beer in Minster...

This is becoming a trend. I was driving across Indiana last month & ran across an official Purdue beer, produced by People's Brewery in Indianapolis. Turns out they've been making it since 2017.

Glad UC is jumping on the trend relatively early - this should be a no-brainer in a city where breweries have been part of the city's identity for nearly 200 years.

So, this isn't UC, it's the NIL Collective. They don't have the rights or ability to create a beer that uses UC's brand.

Aha, I didn't realize that. Thanks for the correction.

I'm curious to see what is "ground-breaking" and "unique" about this then.

Correct. Cincy Reigns brand perhaps? Not sure that rings the bell for most folks.

Cincy Light Lager is the beer. $2 from each case goes to the collective.

Did they happen to mention how much they estimate to generate a year with this endeavor?

Tailgate beer...you're going to need to sell a ton of them to make a dent, but it's a cool idea.

How much per keg? We occasionally get Rheingeist on tap in the taverns up here.

It's honestly an ingenious way to generate reliable cash flow for the collective without actually asking people to make donations. You'd hope more partnerships like these occur with other local companies.

For sure, imagine if a company like Homefield or Homage did that with their shirts...you could generate a ton of money to NILs that way and it wouldn't hurt their bottom line as its all a charitable write-off for the company anyways.

Per the article, it didn't specify the amount per keg, but it did say these kegs will be on tap at the games.

~$13 per keg, per the enquirer article.

Probably should have done a black lager for football and a red ale for bball if they were on brand.
