Tony Altimore's tweets from the Conference Realignment board
Here's some interesting "information," to say the least. I'm not keen on Tony Altimore, but he does provide some interesting statistics.

Big 12 schools have smaller numbers of sports and are much closer to breakeven (other than the 3 current AAC members). Many of the Big 10 schools lose a lot-they tend to have a large number of sports. Big 12 and SEC have more limited sports offerings.
One thing about his numbers. You CAN get the private school numbers, but its a lot more work. He is just showing public schools. That leaves out a good chunk of the ACC, mostly lower revenue schools-BC, Pitt, Syracuse, Wake Forest and Duke. For the Big 12, Cincinnati, UCF and Houston drag down the averages. TCU and Baylor actually are above the Big 12 average in expenditures and probably unsubsidized revenues as well, unlike the ACC privates.
