For those that haven't heard, Kelly Brendel, wife of Bearcat Journal's Chad Brendel lost her battle with cancer. Thoughts and prayers to the Brendel family. RIP Kelly!

I'll second that. I'm not a subscriber over at Bearcat Journal but I have tremendous respect for Chad and the work he does and deep sympathy for his loss after her long battle. God's blessings to Chad and his entire family in these difficult days.

My sincere condolences, my thoughts, and my prayers to Chad's and Kelly's families. I have experienced the loss of a spouse to cancer and I can understand the emotions that all are experiencing. I hate cancer. It has impacted so many families and loved ones. Praying God's peace and comfort in the days ahead...

Chad (Gametime) and Kelly have be true warriors though this all. She fought a long battle and has earned her rest.

I echo your thoughts, I also lost a wife to cancer years ago. I pray that God will be with Chad and his family in the difficult days ahead.

Terrible news. Her fight was inspiring and Chad's dedication to his wife and profession (and her support of Bearcat Journal) has been remarkable these last few years. RIP Kelly.

You guys said it better than I could. Can’t imagine losing a wife after such a protracted and courageous battle. Prayers for Chad and his family in this difficult time. Chad, more than most, has a very extended family of Bearcats who recognize what he means to all of us. Now, we need to be there for him.

Prayers for the family! I don’t know Chad or Kelly but I know his work is great and have seen many comment how supportive in BCJ she was as well as she never gave in with her battle which is commendable. Seemed like a great person from reading other people.

She was a sweetheart.

I used to call her his better 7/8 but that wasn't a slight to Chad. She was all that.

Sorry to hear this. Last BCJ pod I heard she was able to get out of bed and walk (I am behind on the pods), but then was really tired.

They have a teenage daughter Kelce (named after Jason). Gotta be tough on her. And man, Chad LOVED her.

Please post here if they start a gofundme. I know once before he resisted, but finally agreed. Their medical bills must be enormous.

Praying for them all.

Yeah I believe that was back in the BK Era tailgate years at the old Alumni Lot.
