Each show on Jox today has had a nice discussion about the game and the CUSA teams still playing. Good publicity for us and hopefully builds some momentum for next year.

All the media sources have decided to leak that this is McCasland’s last game at UNT. Has that they wait till the day of the championship but that’s another scary motivating factor for the mean green today. Still like our chances

I think this UNT team already had plenty of motivation and would see him leaving as a send out party. Although bench player or players that wouldn’t carry much in the portal may be worried

Those are good points. I expect them to remain highly motivated, as well. Was just hoping that the coaching change would throw a wrench in things.

I hope their team doesn’t implode next year. As much as I hate the way that they play, they have been a really good, successful program, And raise the quality of basketball in our conference.

Hard to tell, they could have an exodus like UTSA and some of the players could follow McCasland to Lubbock.

All depends on who they hire next.

Mccasland’s situation isn’t going to impact UNT. This is a new world. Every player on every team is considering their own options. UNT is a veteran team, like us, playing for themselves. This is their last hurrah either way, just like us.

He’s not expected to play as far as I know and has not played in the NIT

I believe UNT came out and said they do not plan on having their center back

KenPom has it UAB 68 - North Texas 69.

ESPN has UAB favored by 2.5.

Ousmane has not played the last three games. In his absence they have been playing Moulaye Sissoko (6-9 240) and Jayden Martinez (6-7 215).

Sissoko had 12 points and 15 rebounds in their win over Oklahoma State. It was his best game of the season.

Ousmane only played 12 minutes in their first round NIT matchup against Alcorn State. That tied his least amount of minutes in a game this season.
