What Could Have Been
Watching Nowell ball out of control made me ponder what could have been if the pandemic did not hit in 2020. That 2019-2020 team really look good and probably would have done some damage in the NCAA. I believe Nowell has played himself into at least a late NBA 1st rounder with him exhibiting leadership, confidence, and skills despite only being 5'8". When you getting shout outs from NBA super stars...you are on your way. If NBA scouts had doubt because of his size, I think he prove he can play on the big stage (MSG). How may college players do you think would look over to Isiah Thomas and do some trash talk before doing an alley-oop play
Oh...it's LR Alum. Some reason my login would not work and I still had my original username.

Good to hear from you LRAlum. For a second I thought we actually had a new poster. Yes. I have thought a lot about what might have been if not for Covid.

Nowell was a magician yesterday. Among the highlights for me was the bullet pass to the rim from the bus(Ok might not have been that far:)). Pass-catch-Slam from a very long way! Wow!
Oh yeah, can we get a new coach ??:)

Your last line is the big question and unknown currently around this program. But as the old hands like us around this program know, winning the regular season in the Sun Belt, or any other mid major conference for that matter, is a long way from a guarantee of a Conference Tournament Championship and the only NCAA bid the league was going to get. Could it have happened? Sure! But history actually says the odds were greater that it wouldn’t. And that Covid year was tough on a lot of programs. For instance, how would you like to have been a Dayton Flyer fan and have everything shut down the year when your team was projected as a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament! Tough all around!
