Her team is currently 32-2 and is getting ready to play in the D2 final four. Local lady from Parkersburg, WV. Absolute home run hire.

Well nothing is official at this time. You need a signed contract. If she wanted the announcement delayed until her school finishes its season, I wonder what her reaction will be to the leak? This could get interesting.

If this happens that is a fantastic hire.

Looks like a really good hire, if it actually happens. Just wish we could have made a similar change on the men's side as well.

Grenville St lost last night. She’s apparently upset it leaked before she wanted it to. I still believe she ends up here.

I’m not sure how many candidates have applied/interviewed, but the one name I do know interviewed was actually the first name I thought of when the position became vacant. So I’m not unhappy hearing that is the case. I did hear the decision is imminent so maybe we’ll know before too long.

This is who I was referring to. She was at South Alabama as an assistant under Terry Fowler. We had a couple good seasons when she was here but then she left and we never looked the same. I’m excited for her and hope she is truly the catalyst we need to get back to being a respectable program.

Officially official now

This is a Huge Hire. She got a 7 year contract out of it.

Rumors are her fiancee will be given a coaching job in the men's basketball program.

It will be really interesting if she brings the coaching style she employed at Glenville (191-24 record, 1 national title) to Marshall. Best description of it is she subs like a hockey line - full go/full press/max effort for a minute at a time and then subs all 5 who keep up the same pace and pressure 4 quarters long, utilizing the entire bench.

I think like the D-II revolutionary soccer coach we hired from the MEC, I think Stephens will completely revolutionize Marshall women's basketball.

This is a fantastic hire.
