Just as long as he understands he is not the Assistant Head Coach.

And Kinne doesn't allow him to call/suggest plays; especially in crucial situations.

Bailiff, who is also a member of the Texas State Hall of Honor, will assist Kinne and the rest of the staff in all facets of the program, including advising Coach Kinne, community relations, alumni affairs, high school relations, fundraising, and football operations.

Dude is back smooth swt feelings, raise money, use Texas high school connections. I'm here for that

I think it is a smart move. Gives the very young staff some wisdom and he is very well liked among alums and the SM area.

. . . also has great ties to the San Antonio area. I like the move, can see a lot of upside, and really no downside.

They used to call Bob Lilly Mr. Cowboy. If we had a Mr. Bobcat Bailiff would be the closest thing to it.

Biggest downside is the added cost of hiring him

. . . Potential loss. He could be a catalyst for increased Athletics Donations.

AND

Our Athletics Department, Football Program in particular, could use some Positive PR. DB will be good for that.

Besides, His salary can’t possibly be a bigger waste of money than what we threw at Withers, SPAV, and their collection of Coaches and Assistants.

Not to forget the $5-$7 million that landed in the lap of our coveted AD compliance officer over the course of the better part of 2 decades.

Yup, yup, yup . . . you start adding up all the money we’ve flushed on FB the past decade, and DB looks like a Bargin.

And you know that the majority of the SWT Forever crowd has gotta love the move . . .

Moving Forward, while still honoring the past. Throw in some winnin’ and it’s Kumbaya time.
