Gotta say that I didn't feel all that confident after Thursday night's game; but, that performance against Auburn was definitely one of a #1 ranked team.

I thought Bama was in trouble yesterday, too. But they seemed to get it figured out.

Memphis killed Auburn too and they went out in the 1st rd. Real measuring stick there.

i don't like the jinx of the overall thread... but it was a great measuring stick.. we played basically an away game .. houston only has 5 guards on roster 2 were battling bad injury and both actually got in foul trouble and so was jarace..

top 3 players out (4 fouls each) basically down 10 in an away environment .. we responded, let auburn score a total of 4fgs the ENTIRE 2nd half... and won by 17

you playing auburn in the non con in a neutral is meaningless to this.... if that logic had any semblence you would have beat fau.. as you also killed ole miss... who crushed fau ..yet fau advanced

Auburn is an average team with no star players. It would have been more shocking if they had won.

I wouldn’t make any bold claims with the number of major upsets we have seen. Still a long road to the Championship Game.

Assuming the strongest seeds win out, Houston would face #4 Indiana in the S16, #2 Texas in the E8, # 2 West winner UCLA in the F4, and # 1 South winner Alabama for the Chmpionship.

A tough slate to be sure but Houston has shown the grit and mettle to get the job done.

Personally, it will not surprise me to see UConn vs Gonzaga in the West Region final.

I rather not see Texas or Alabama, not because I'm worried but because I want the full home-court advantage.

Killer second half for Houston. The subs did well replacing the starters who were in foul trouble. There is no discernable drop off in talent on that team.
