Nice job by the Pride and excellent exposure for the CAA.

Hopefully Charleston will compete well today in the big dance.

Cincinnati starting replacement of their basketball court as soon as their game ended with Tech last night, so, will be ready for their graduation. Hofstra got the home nod by default. Good for them!

What? Didn't Cincinnati have a 45-year-old former arena that could be pressed into service????

The first rule of NIT Club is "CAA don't host no games."

Having Kevin Harlan on the call makes this game even better.

Go Cougs!

Surprised the Cougs kept the game as close given their shooting. I doubt they’ve had a worse game all year on FG%. They are a resilient bunch and well represented the CAA.

I think they will be back soon

RE: CAA mbb post season
One of Charleston’s strengths was rebounding; something they didn’t do well for most of the game. That late foul call on the Aztec trey (at the end of the shot clock, no less) was tough …and a killer. Also, all the refs must have been told beforehand that there is no such thing as a charge; that gave SDSU four points.

Interesting that the Mountain West was 0 for their last 11 NCAA games going in but naturally they won against the CAA. The Mountain West also lost their next game when Boise St. lost to Northwestern. Chase Audige had 20 points, 6 rebounds, and a bunch of steals and assists with still about 2 minutes to go when I read that.

Meanwhile, in the Women’s NIT, both Drexel and Towson lost. CAA POY Keishana Washington got 43 of Drexel’s 63 points. Towson lost by 40 (!) to Harvard. Their 4th qtr comeback against the Tribe was definitely their last hurrah. They totally unraveled against Monmouth and apparently didn’t even show up against Harvard. Not a good look for them.

Monmouth loses to Tennessee Tech in the Women’s NCAA, 79-69, in a game closer than the score indicates. Monmouth’s press was very effective at the end but unfortunately they started it about 10 minutes too late. Tech was 12-26 from beyond the arc.

Only Hofstra still alive.

Hofstra fell to Cincinnati this afternoon in the NIT 2nd Round, 79-65. UC pulled away in the 2H after a tight 1H.
