RE: 2023 Postseason Thread
SDSU started out on fire then FAu dominated going into half and out of half time. Got up by 14 before SDSU hunkered down on D. Surprised FAU shot so well for so long against a sout SDSU defense, particularly their 3 point defense. SO not surrpised SDSU making a run. Good game though. 65-60 FAU currently with 6:20 to go

RE: 2023 Postseason Thread
SDSU made their run with help of getting 8 offensive rebounds in 2 minutes. However FAU has shown great resolve. They seem to be able to find a bucket at every critical moment. SDSU have killed themselves on the FT line

Great defense at the end by SDSU and what a shot at the end. He almost dribbled the clock out accidentally. However 9 seeds and worse fall to 0-9 historically

LSU wins the women's title in convincing fashion. A very whistle happy game.
On the men's side tonight UConn is a 7.5 point favorite. Go SDSU

Congrats to UConn on their victory last night. They looked the best team all tournament long (and in Nov/Dec)

4th largest average margin of victory at 20 points per game, so UConn was absolutely dominant this tournament.

As good as anywhere, but congrats to our womens lax who earned an at large to the postseason. They will have a rematch against Maryland in the first round. A win would set up a potential 2nd round against 7 seeded JMU. Stony Brook got the auto bid after destroying Towson on Saturday. They did not get seeded either.

RE: 2023 Postseason Thread
nice to see one of our teams make the tournament.
overall...this didn't seem like a very successful year for the athletic department from top to bottom. lacrosse flamed out pretty hard at the end.
not blaming anybody in particular especially since i'm not sure how soon to start questioning an athletic director. the bar was set pretty low. i was amazed at how many times i heard about coaches who have been around 20+ years. considering the lack of hardware we tend to rack up...i'm not sure those types of tenures were warranted.
my impression is a lot of people got way too comfortable. the ad himself included. i'd like to see that change. i might be dreaming.

RE: 2023 Postseason Thread
Our women fell on Friday 11-6 to Maryland. Maryland then fell yesterday to 7 seeded JMU 15-14. Stony Brook fell yesterday by 1 to 8 seeded Loyola.
On the men's side, Delaware smoke Marist in the play in game then lost to top seeded duke by 1 yesterday.
