I am not sure of the point of Jeb’s tweet. I am fairly confident the fans of departed three agree the AAC is a competitive league.

Well OK, but I think the last football and basketball games my USF played were Ls as well - and we're still stuck in the AAC, and they aren't.

RE: For the AAC remainers and the newbies
In football, UNT went 4-0 against the teams that will be remaining in C-USA (no game against MTSU this year). And in basketball, UNT went 11-0 against the teams that will be remaining in C-USA (2-0 against four and 3-0 against LA Tech). I'm sure FAU & UAB have similar records too.

With the football and basketball championships remaining in 2023 AAC member's hands, and the current success of most of the C-USA6, I think the AAC has a brighter future than many believed would be possible. 04-cheers

In men’s hoops, the 6 teams joining AAC next season were a combined 42-22 this season against the 5 teams staying in C-USA. And that includes UTSA’s 2-8 record.

I don’t have football data. Not sure about that.

Don't worry, the newbies will be informed how to make USF most comfortable and provide you with enough Ls to not be startled by the change

I'd be interested in knowing where those losses came from. It seemed to me that all of the new additions, except for UTSA played some strong basketball this season.

Rice was 5-5. We were 4-0 against UTEP and WKU, 1-1 against FIU, and 0-4 against MTSU and Louisiana Tech.

Reg. Season + Tournament
FAU 9-1 + 2-0

UAB 7-3
UNCC 6-4 + 0-1 *the weakest overall addition of the 6 C-USA adds*

RE: For the AAC remainers and the newbies
Lol to all the new guys:

2022 BBall Conference Standings:
1) Houston - #1 ranked team in nation
4) Cincy - Down year since history of conference
7) UCF - Around average year since history of conference (usually a tad better)

2022 Football Conference Standings:
2) UCF - Down year since history of conference
3) Cincy - Down year especially for Fickell era while in this conference
5) Houston - Around average since history of conference (usually a tad better)

American History Football (10 seasons):
1) Cincy
- 1 Playoff Appearance (0-1 Bama gon Bama)
- 1 NYD bowl appearance (0-1…53 yard field goal by Georgia to win it ahhhh)
- 3 Conference Titles (including ties)
- 2 bowl game wins
- Highest ranking #4 AP

2) UCF
- 1 National Championship (It is in the NCAA record books technically)
- 3 NYD bowl appearances (2-1)
- 4 conference titles (including ties)
- 4 bowl wins
- Highest ranking #6 AP

3) Houston
- 1 NYD bowl appearance (1-0)
- 1 conference title
- 4 bowl wins
- Highest ranking #8 AP

American Basketball History (10 seasons):
1) Cincy
- 3 regular season conference titles (including ties)
- 6 NCAA bids
- Highest Ranking #5 AP

2) UCF
- No conference titles
- 1 NCAA tourney appearance (Duke game reminds me of Cincy/Georgia in football)
- Highest ranking #26 AP (I believe but could be wrong if higher)

2) Houston
- 4 regular season conference titles (including ties)
- 5 NCAA appearances including Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final 4, and TBD
- Highest ranking #1 AP

Best of luck to all moving forward. Goal should be Tulane in football this season or Memphis in basketball this season if not including what the above teams have accomplished. All around solid conference. I thought this conference would be strong in bball and really poor in football. I was wrong on both accounts.

The main thing that I was disappointed was access to fball playoff which y’all will now have but the NYD bowl bids won’t be what they were when our teams were here. That’s a good thing for everyone.

Keep the dominance over MWC teams and other so called G conferences for the playoff spot moving forward and if/when expansion comes around again it will be one of y’all instead of a Boise.

Anywho, Adios amigos. I’ll check in occasionally but not much after Houston/Memphis tourney run this year in the NCAA.

Last minute jabs aside, I'm not sure if this means anything. WVU annihilated Clemson by a score of 70-33 before we left the Big East and look at us now. If UCF, Houston, or Cincinnati make noise in the Big 12 it will be because they belong there.
