JJ, did a good job in refreshing his recruiting team. The problem is recruiting is a dog-eat-dog business. Other coaches, know that JJ belittles his players in front of fans, with profanity and yelling. Players seem to look at him, before they do anything. This is just a tool; rival coaches use to make quality players do not want to come to ODU. On the portal side, we also seem to not get quality players to fit in with the ones we have. Marshall got a great all-sunbelt guard from VMI. Souther Miss recruited a dozen new players and look where they are, after two losing seasons. No matter if JJ is the head coach and has good recruiters, I don't think they would come here, unless they could not get anything better. The only good player we got in the portal last year, was Jenkins. And he needs discipline. Bottom line, you need a good coach and assistants to produce quality players. Someone who knows how to treat players and also have players with high quality and intelligence.

He’s the moderator. It’s his job to help keep things organized around here. Seemed like a reasonable request to me.

C’mon man. Common sense. It’s board etiquette. Don’t need multiple threads of the same topic.
