He kinda went that way once it became a long shot for this team to make the tourney. I was afraid the rest of the team was going to join him. Luckily that didn’t happen

He's been that way since the start of the season. He did have a stretch of 5 or so games where he seemed locked in.

RE: Game Day Thread: Cincy at Memphis
The rap on Nolley at Memphis was that he could not stay focused throughout a game. I think we’ve continued to see that pattern this year. He takes plays off, halves off, and sometimes full games off. I think after he scored 33 against Arizona he came back the next night and had three points. Tons of talent, but his focus leaves a lot to be desired. Those who think he’s an NBA player are sadly mistaken. He’d have to prove himself in the G league and at his age, I don’t see anybody in the NBA paying him when they’re better and more dedicated options available.

i'm as big a Nolley stan as there is but he totally deserves to sit. i think he just wants to punk his old team too badly and he's not playing with his team; he's expecting his team to play for him.

MAW also giving us little on offense really hurts

Got a couple of stops but can't get the defensive rebounds to finish the possessions.

Difference in this game is turnovers (and points off them). Memphis is 10-0 and I think all of them are layups. Which is not coincidentally the difference in paint points.

Dave has had a couple terrible passes on pick and rolls. That's something he's been great at for a couple months. Not sure what's going on with those.

I thought so as well on both but then the replays looked to backup the refs

This is the worst they've played in 3 months. This team has been great all year protecting the basketball. I don't know what the hell I'm watching right now.

Memphis D taking us to the woodshed. They remind me of Cronin's old teams.

Worst kind of game to watch. Close enough score to keep me from walking away from the TV, and distant enough margin to annoy me.

This is pathetic.... there isn't a high caliber player on this team.... and that includes Lahkin who is mediocre at best.....04-cheers

Memphis is playing physical and overextending their defense. We need to attack just like Dave did there.

Memphis just playing harder than UC so far. I haven't seen UC so careless with the ball this year either

Memphis the more physical team and playing with a lot more energy. i don't know what JD was doing watching Kendric take the ball from Lahkin but he should have gotten in there and fought for the ball.

That's the difference in the game. Both teams have gotten the ball in the paint on offense. They have 12 more paint points and I think all of them are from run outs on live ball turnovers (something this team hasn't given up all season...other than the first Houston game).

Bad UC offense leading to bad UC defense.

An entire season where your best wins are over UCF and Tulane? Yikes.

Yeah, he has some NBA traits, but is not a NBA player. His defense and effort are often lacking and for a guy who would need to make it as a 3-and-D type player, that is an issue. Additionally he's not elite athletically and also isn't great at decision making if you rely on him to run the offense.

Where he does best is when he can catch the ball facing the basket and make a quick decision while having the ball for a maximum of 3-5 seconds - and no more than a couple of dribbles.

That could be good for us next year though, as it increases the likelihood that he will stay. On the other hand, if he and Davenport sometimes continue with the lackadaisical play next year, we may be ready for them both to move on. Lack of effort is not the sort of example you want from two super-seniors next year when trying to build a culture.
