Bowling Green
EMU best chance to win tonight if they can limit BG to scoring but 70/points. In there first meeting, BG scored 91-points.

Bowling Green has more good three point shooters than EMU does. As such. BG will want to take more three's than EMU and convert them at a high percentage.

The there first match-up, BG shot 43.5 percent on three's (10-23).

EMU can negate BG advantage by trying to limit the number of BG's three-pointers to no more than EMU takes. EMU also wants to limit BG's three-point shooting percentage.

EMU cannot afford to let BG take 25 three's nor score 30 points on 10 made three's. EMU can do so by forcing BG shooters further out, getting in their grill, and forcing would-be shooters to either pass the ball or dribble.

EMU will also need to have a big stationed by the rim to take on all comers from every direction. As EMU bigs cannot afford to stray far from the rim and allow their opponents to go around them or let perimeter players get to the rim. The failure of EMU to do so last time the teams met, resulted in BG shooting 58 percent on 2's.

I didn't see a Bowling Green thread. This game is as close as a game could be for all the marbles.

EMU needs to defensively hold BG to making no more than 5 or 6 three's, to shoot no more than 48 percent on two's, and for EMU players not excessively foul. EMU players didn't excessively foul in the last game played on EMU's home-court.
