It was to pull the post defender out of the middle to help for King or others to drive, and for him to set ball screens, as I understand.

Thanks! That makes a lot of sense but it still looked strange to me to see him doing that!

RE: Official Game Thread: UNCG
I'm not sure if its just me but I've noticed when Joe Hugley has the scout (ie. the assistant coach that scouts the opposing team and provides the gameplan), we seem to execute and play better. The only factor I've noticed in determining which coach is the scout is said coach sits directly beside of Oliver (This was the case with Shay on Forbes staff, who had the scout most of the time, sometimes it was Savage/McKie).

In Hugley's case, I definitely noticed it more during SoCon games and it makes sense since he actually played in the games against SoCon foes. Just a random observation, but I do think he has been a solid addition to the staff this season.

The Diaper Derby was a race for the ages.

It was the right thing to do. Oliver always liked him it seemed

After he gets some experience, I'd love to see him come back and be the head coach. I don't know if it's his long term plan or if he'll even be any good at it, but I like the demeanor he shows on the sideline. And he's big enough that I wouldn't want to cross him.
