Popularity has nothing to do with it. I am good with you being good with his love of UNC. Just do not compare loyalty with Cole which was the point of the OP. He is better than Luke, at least is close to 50/50 but not near Cole.
Combs certainly has a casual interest in unc bball. But he’s not a 50/50 guy. More like 90/10 or 95/5. Look at pictures of him in his man cave it’s all App stuff framed jerseys helmets and posters, no unc stuff. He’s on the waiting list for a suite- $500k capital donation and $20 or $25k/yr rental. Church also has a suite or did. Rumor is he is quietly supportive but it seems all his time and $$ are spent slobbin on Mack and UNC knob.
Hell cancel concerts to attend unc games but I don’t see him flying in from wisc to do a 15 minute segment in Boone and then flying back….
It is not casual lol, you dont do a ESPN interview and only mention UNC as part of your fandom and it be just casual. Maybe it is UNC basketball only and not football but it is not casual at all or just 50/50. Also him flying to Boone had as much to do with just being on gameday and self promotion than love of App lets be real. Nor do I blame him for it. Again point being, Cole is 100% GS with any sport. Luke Combs is a 100% die hard UNC Tar Heel when it comes to basketball, football it TBD where his loyalties are. If UNC football goes on a run anytime soon in football we will see for sure until then it is just TBD.
You have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to Combs. He was also in the App State locker room for the ECU - App State game in Charlotte. He didn't have any TV time there.

Cole is as good as it gets for Georgia Southern! There’s not another college represented this way in the entire music industry. No hard feelings against fellow alum Luke Bryan. Simply put, Cole is revered by Eagle Nation. GATA.
