Don't know how long it will last, could only be two days, but let us have our moment!

Also, a lot of people need to serve up some crow....

The atmosphere in Harrisonburg was electric. A heavy weight fight. Final score not at all indicative of how close it actually was.

Could have gone either way. Just so proud of our team tonight.

Marshall has been the top team in analytics predictions systems all year as far as I recall. Not sure why this is a surprise.

What do you people look at when evaluating basketball?

It goes way back to some discussions we've had early on. Just having fun because they sure as hell were loud with me when we were down.

Just giving it back now...

ODU says you're welcome and enjoy it while it lasts. See you Friday.

Lol. I'm aware it could only be two days. But it's all in fun. And I'll take the short success while it lasts.

The rivalry is alive and well for sure. Felt like old times in Harrisonburg.

Lol. You're totally gonna beat us on Friday night, just having my one moment to bask in the glory. For all the crap I took on here feels good to have some vindication.

One more win away from *at minimum* an NIT birth.

I agree wholeheartedly. I'm still surprised ODU managed to overcome so much tonight and come away with the win against a really good USM team. ODU certainly will have its work cut out for themselves on Friday as well. This final home stand to end the regular season is like being back in CUSA with USM and Marshall at the Ted.

Your computer ratings had USM as bottom of the conference even a month into the season. Even when we were playing good.Vegas has still been wrong on USM about 75% of games. I use win/loss results. I watch how the teams play and look on the field.

Either way Congrats Marshall. Maybe we will meet in the tourney.

I think Marshall was picked about 8th, I believe, in the SBC coaches and media poll IIRC.

That first half was the best half of basketball I've seen this season and not just in the SBC. These are two elite teams. Good game Monarchs, glad to be in a conference with you. Let's go Herd! Win on Friday and get that auto bid to the NIT!

Congrats guys! It's just a shame it took a night with a JMU loss and an ODU win to get you there 03-puke03-puke03-puke

All good man, it really could have gone either way, I said this multiple times, but if you didn't watch the game, JMU and Marshall were grid-locked for most if not the entire match to the last minute.

Check my receipts, I had JMU picked to win this one, we were really clicking on all cylinders tonight though.

I'm mostly calling out the people who gave me crap early on for defending Marshall.

I'm sorry the SBC schedule makers put you through that trauma...

I’ve gotta say……it’s been a long time since I’ve seen a jinx thread of this magnitude. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out in the gambling thread and ultimately how the basketball gods will view it
