Doesn't matter what bracket or when you play, there is not going to be any "easy" bracket in this tournament. I think you could make a case for each and every one of these teams winning the tournament. The only sad thing is, the SBC will still only be a 1 bid league this year. How many teams do you think the SBC will send to the NIT?

You just jinxed it...AState going to win it all.

WBB as well, all the way down to 5th place is currently only one game behind 1st(although first place JMU does own the tiebreakers over all top 5 teams) and all the way down to 7th is only two games behind. It's going to be a wild and intense week in Pensacola for both the men and the women. JMU, Southern Miss, Troy, Louisiana, and ODU are all even top 5ish legit contenders to take down both tournaments.

I do think it will be one of the teams in the top four to ultimately win it.

I would not be shocked if a team like App State or USA made it to the finals, but playing the extra game will catch up to them by that time.

Additionally, I'm going to make a not so bold prediction. The winner of the regular season championship will be the only team in the NIT.

I think USA may win it as hot as they are.

So what I'm reading is that Texas State wont be winning.

For us first timers, can you give us advice on nearby attractions and watering holes at the tourney?

Is the arena a good venue to watch games? It looks like a non descript civic center, but maybe it is different in person.

staying at the beach so each day will be a drive in to town.

The famous Flora-Bama Bar is only a half hour west of the Bay Center.

Don't count out Georgia Southern and App St.

Been there and The Hangout in Gulf Shores many times, I just don't remember much of it I hear I enjoyed both!

Agree. Whoever wins needs to go make a little noise in the NCAA this year to prove it. Gotta earn some respect and then build on it. There's a ton of talent and potential in this league. Goal should be multi-bid within 3 years.

It is insanely, insanely difficult to be a multi-bid league.

Again I've said this in the past, but in 2018 CUSA had two top 35 RPI teams that got left out of the NCAA tournament.

Even today an article from CBS Sports bracketology noted there are going to be years where a top 30 NET team is going to be left out. We're not anywhere close to that as it stands.

I get goals and all that, but the reality is much more difficult.
