AAC Softball & Offseason Moves
Do the fans of this conference not like to follow softball? I haven't been able to find a thread discussing how the AAC softball season is going.

RE: AAC Softball?
I'm sorry lmao, ya'll do deserve a team though.
If it makes you feel better, we put $8 million towards a soccer last summer facility that should be finishing in April. Now we're having trouble finding $20 million to break ground on our basketball/volleyball facility, which is our biggest need after a new basketball arena.
We don't have mens soccer.

RE: AAC Softball?
I enjoy following Tulsa softball. We've had an excellent program over the years. The coach responsible for most of the success left to become the pitching coach at Oklahoma State. Our old administration would not give him the support needed to be competitive from what I've heard.
We've had a couple of down years since then, and our current coach is starting her 3rd season as HC. So to me this year will be a deciding factor on if she can cut it or not. The new administration seems to be committed to winning so it will be interesting to see how things shake out.

RE: AAC Softball?
I know UCF has a good program, but who are the other contenders for the AAC title this season?

AAC Softball?
The only unanimous consensus among the seven coaches is that Memphis should finish dead last this season.
Here’s the rest of the story:

It’s also ok to mention any notable softball teams headed to the AAC next year, I hear there may be one or two decent ones…

UNT will host Wichita State in two games at the North Texas Invitational the weekend of Feb 25th. It will be interesting to see how the Mean Green stack up against one of the better AAC teams.

USF isn’t that good this year, we lost our ace to graduation and have a young team.

Yes, this should be a somewhat revealing early season matchup between a 2024 add to the AAC and 2023 CUSA #1 pick UNT and WSU a hopeful '23 AAC contender. WSU seemed a little sluggish out of the gate last week overall, but seemed to be warming up more after getting several games under their belt all on the road as always to start the season. We'll be hoping we can take at least one of two games with UNT, but should be good games in any event.

SMU and UNT
Why do they not have baseball? It makes no sense. TCU and DBU both have had solid baseball programs. The sport is getting more and more popular every year. Has there been any discussions to add baseball to either of these schools?

Title 19 is almost always the answer to why there is a female version of a sport at a university but not the male version.
