Lots of conversation about the transfers out in here...figured it would be worth an update:

Mika Adams Woods
Through 7 games at St. Bonaventure against a tougher schedule than UC:
13.7 ppg
4.7 apg
3.6 rpg
51.5% FG
35.7% 3pt
84.2% FT

Jeremiah Davenport:
Through 8 games and 4 starts at Arkansas:
3.8 ppg
1.0 rpg
.8 apg
30.3% FG
25.0% 3pt
100% FT

If Mika had those stats at UC he's probably still playing here. Those are career high stats in almost every category. Happy to see him doing well.

Davenport is such an anomaly watching play. I've never seen a guy with such a beautiful shooting stroke shoot so poorly.

Agreed...very happy for Mika to be balling out so far this season and hope it continues!

Davenport is the poster boy for why shot selection is as important as shooting ability. He had more WTF shots than anyone I've ever seen on a competitive basketball court...and those are never being made at a high clip unless you are legitmately the best shooter in the history of the sport (Curry).

I would be interested in how much playing time they are getting. It sounds like Woods is getting plenty of playing time while Davenport is sitting on the bench most of the time.

His sophomore and junior years he took a bunch of tough 3s but made a good percentage of them. He was off last year and apparently a change of scenery hasn't changed things. Hope he gets it together.

His shot selection too often looked like a guy trying to come back from from being down H.O.R.S.__ to H.

It was too often a shooting turnover...you almost knew the first time he touched the ball after getting on the floor it was going up no matter what.

I'd be curious to see what position he's playing most of his minutes now. Can't imagine he's playing the matador 4 in the SEC.
