Our crew has had season tix since the Minter days. I remember many Saturday afternoons sitting in Nippert watching a seemingly endless stream of UAB's, USM's, USF's and ECU's roll thru and thinkin' to myself "God, I have got to have something better to do with my time than this".... Well, we got something better now. Can not wait for college football season to get here!

That home slate 02-13-banana

I remember last year thinking well Navy usually gets a good crowd regardless of record and Indiana at least is regional game. 03-lmfao

Outside that it was blah although ECU ended up being a fun game and atmosphere of Tulane game was big time.

Every game I’ll look forward to at least 10x more. EKU even as we need that warm up game bad with new coach and many players. Hated starting the season @Arky last year.

Let’s go!!!

I hope you’re right and wish I shared your optimism. I’d be happy with four wins, starting out.

Yeah...I think I'm ok with that lol.

That's like trading Rosie O'Donnel for Heidi Klum.

Wow - I mean we knew the home schedule would be way better but it hits different when it is official like this. And yes, this more than justifies the season tix price increase.

From the selfish side of my perspective, happy but not satisfied. There are five games which I consider one-day drives:

Baylor
TCU
OSU
KU
KSU

We have a game at ONLY ONE of them 03-nutkick At least there is one at one of the two next closest (UH, ISU). I'll probably try to get to that one, and definitely back to town for the Sooners.

But, unselfishly I'm very satisfied. Five home games with a team in uncertain transition is just what the doctor ordered. I gotta say, I'm not nearly as optimistic as Mark, no matter what the computer says 03-lmfao

At least you have more opportunities for closer drives year-to-year. West Virginia is the only doable option for me [about 6 hours]. That said, would I attend a game there is another question entirely.

Mark? He fudges the computer numbers to prop up his arguments. 04-cheers

I remember DJ getting smacked hard several times early in that OU game, and showing it as he came off the field. If today's concussion protocols were in place, he would have been on the sideline most of the game. (Therefore, perhaps that fumble goes away and the game result changes.)

And yes, DJ was never the same. To me, that was bigger than losing the game. Concussion protocols are a good thing.

If you count non football (basketball) members too I wonder where UC ranks in terms of the number of schools to have shared a conference with. I’d imagine UC is near the top if not at the top.

He made a lot of huge plays in that game and almost single handedly kept us in it. So much so that couldnt even be upset when he single handedly gave it away LOL. If he holds onto the ball either of those two plays we win. UC/OU HIGHLIGHTS

Bolded, I've wondered about that too. UC may hold the record for most former conference mates, all-time. Crazy when you start remembering UC was in basketball conferences with South Carolina, Florida State, Georgia Tech and more. It's been a long, often strange, journey to the Big 12 and I really hope for some P5 stability at this point for the coming decade at a minimum.

IDK if anyone mentioned but how incredible to play two former schools from the old Big East that were our geographic "rivals." If we can finish 6-6 and bowl eligible with that schedule then I would consider that a successful first season in the B12.

EKY
@Pitt
MyamUH
Oklahoma
@BYU
BYE
Iowa St
Baylor
@OKST
UCF
@Dana
@WVU
Kansas

Tough having a coaching transition this year but i still believe we're more than capable of winning 9-10 games. Not saying we will, but also not looking at 6-6 as success. The big12 is very good but theres nobody unbeatable and we dont even play several of the best teams this year. Heck our transition to the Big East was far bigger and it was still only a 1 year adjustment. Our second year in the Big East we played the #1 SOS in the nation and still went 7-5. That was 2 years removed from cusa, without a single upperclassmen recruit sniffing a third star (still losing 2star recruiting battles to MAC schools at that point), without any facilities, without any winning football tradition to speak of and we still went bowling with a better record than our final year in cusa. Our program is in such a better position today. I'm very cautiously optimistic.
