Chicago State at Stanford
A very late 3 cut the Chicago State lead from 10 to 7, but the lead is still a good cushion going in to half 2. 41-34 Cougars in Maples Pavilion.

Chicagos zone has kept Stanford a little off on offense, and the Cougars have controlled the pace. CSU is hitting 3s and has kept Stanford’s 7 footer from taking over the game.

Stanford will probably try to run in the second half. If CSU can keep it a little slower and rebound better, they will be in it. Stanford only lead for a couple minutes of the first half and after they cut from 7 to a one point lead, Chicago responded by getting it back to 10.

RE: Chicago State at Stanford
Big let down, but a confidence builder at the same time. This was a lot like the 3 point loss at Minnesota and the close loss at Marquette. Playing all high majors tough on the road has been a good sign of where the program is.

Chicago State better find a conference soon because schools aren’t going to want to schedule a team that might actually beat them lol.

Either way, it was a well played game. The cougars just didn’t have it in the last 5 minutes after they let their 12 point cushion slip away.
