What the hell is Fischer doing for $300,000. Terrible basketball just continues.

A&T found their consistency first. 10 for 10.

Nice comeback. The press looked effective. Too little too late.

Good to see the attempted comeback at the end, but that was a bad loss. You can’t let a team come onto your home court and dance & shimmy all over you like that.

Nelson had the worst game of his Tribe career, which hurt.

Where’s the fire from this coaching staff and team?

Nice comeback, but the Aggies hit their last 11 shots and 13 of their last 14 shots to continue their unusual CAA stat of being much better on the road (4-1) than at home (1-3).

Nice comeback guys, I was worried...we are not a great FT shooting team.

Seems like a decent number of A&T fans showed up.

Yeah, the teams combined to miss 19 free throws. Kids, look away.

We were outplayed, outcoached, and out hustled. A&T moved the ball well on offense and got a lot of easy baskets. #4 absolutely owned us on both ends of the court. We let them set the pace and tempo of the game. The refs didn't call much either which let the game keep going up and down the court all day.

Dane should have started the pressure at about 3 minutes. We didn't have anyone in bad foul trouble, and A&T wasn't hitting their free throws. I'm sure his "how to coach" book said not until a minute which is what he did.

On a positive note, A&T traveled well and I had a chance to talk to a couple of fans. They are excited about the CAA and really like how close Williamsburg is for a new rivalry. One guy asked if I had been to Greensboro and I told him I had. He quickly said that they are trying to make some changes especially around the food scene and draw more attention to it as a place to visit. That sounds good to me. I'm looking forward to going to see a football game there.

Today was one more nail in the coffin for Dane. Terrible loss at home to one of the CAA scrubs. Maybe if we lose out from here Mann will be shamed into doing what needs to be done, unless we want to waste another year spinning our wheels with this clueless staff.

One thing that has really bothered me is that we were down 3 points with 36 seconds left, and we decided to foul. We could have played defense and either forced a miss or a turnover, which meant we could’ve gotten the ball back and at least got a 3 off. Not sure why we fouled there

RE: NC A&T @ W&M MBB
Every player is allowed one terrible game a year…and Nelson just had his. At least 7 bad pass turnovers. He kept trying to force passes into traffic. Late in the game he forced a pass inside when Dorsey was clearly visible wide open at the 3-point line.

Missed free throws. If we made ours while they were missing theirs….

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen one shooter as unlucky as Case. Every shot rolled around and around and around the rim before finally falling out. Even his free throw at the end did that.

Collier needs to teach Wight how to hold on to a rebound.

I’d consider dropping Flo…but I need it to watch the women’s team.

The possible reality of losing out sadly crosses my mind after today. Looks like I may chose to skip the CAA tournament this year and break my streak of attending over 40 consecutive years in person (minus Covid year).

This team has talent but Dane and his staff seem unable to effectively coach them to consistently be successful.

Still agree it was a terrible loss because of a fatigued and unfocused team making a lot of poor decisions/plays, including the lack of any timely coaching changes. I wouldn't call NC A&T one of the CAA scrubs, though, as they have four 4* players, and Watson was the #45 player in the country coming out of HS. This is his third program stop. On a given night, they are a dangerous team for anybody in the league, and may be as good as anybody in the league by the CAA Tourney.

By luck of the draw, seven of our remaining ten games are with the bottom half (scrubs) of the league, so, plenty of opportunities to watch dismal basketball.

At this point it is clear that Fischer is not cut out to be a D1 coach. Having a NBA caliber player in his first year against CAA competition carried him to a good record, but he has shown nothing with his recruits and in game coaching to warrant additional years at the College. At this point he should not get any credit for any future wins against teams like Stony Brook, Hampton, Elon, or Monmouth, as they are all ranked 330 or below out of 363 D1 teams. I urge Mann to make the right decision after this year instead of delaying the inevitable.
