You're talking about the physical implications of the throw vs. the dunk. I'm talking about the cultural implications.

For the throw itself, I agree. Of course, Penny can still hit a dozen 3s in a row, too. He just needs a bigger object to throw, apparently.

Congrats to FAU! The failed dunk attempt is such a silly thing for people to be upset about. I'll be pulling for FAU going forward.

I suggest a one on one contest between our respective coaches to determine who retains the most athleticism.

The failed dunk was inappropriate, but apologies were made and no further fuss should be raised, IMO.

I was thinking the exact same thing...and my euphoria went to angst thinking about the tramatic event that the kids witnessed....

On a side note, FDU waived the flag and gave up on that last possession, at least go through the motions and just put ONE body between the guy with the ball and the basket and you know what? The failed dunk doesn't get attempted. Wish he dribbled it out, but this is a case of someone always has to be mad about something.

The post game interview from the FAU player wasn't all that great either. He dropped the "S" bomb and then referred to the female reporter as "girl". Not the greatest after game moment from FAU.

For once we agree. Shouldn't have done it but emotions were high from a fiery game and a young man made a bad choice. Let's not make it into something it isn't. Apologizes were given, it's over. Moving on the NY.
