Mondays Musings
Musings were delayed today due to a bright yellow sphere in the sky over Washtenaw County. It had not been seen in a year.
MBB got schooled by the veterans of BGSU. A spark was lit at half time of Saturday's game and the eagles defeated the chips. As of now we would be in the MAC tourney. Need a win over the browncows in Kalamazoo Tuesday. Solid Crowd on Saturday that got into the game as the eagles played better. Not sure if we could press an entire game feel like good teams with good guards will tear it up.
Women's Basketball sorry but I kinda watch only the NCAA tournament. Maybe the NCAA could experiment with a 96 team tournament on the women's side for a few years?? Might be more blow outs though.
Portal is open as morning conditioning sessions start for CFB teams all over the land. EMU is clearly ahead of our in-state rivals and maybe the rest of the MAC.
See y'all Tuesday night.

RE: Mondays Musings
EMU > CMU > UofM but why did we need to play UofM? Lol. Just ruined it...

BTW, TCU learned the hard lesson: miracles don't happen back to back.

Just ask CMU. They beat UofM but couldn't beat EMU.

RE: Mondays Musings
USA Today has an article (graphic) on NCAA FB bonuses.

Anyway, C.C. got 25K (I think more), plus a 10k raise, and I believe extended a year. I count more than 25k. Maybe capped??? Clear as mud?

***********

Eastern Michigan: Chris Creighton
►$15,000: Victory over Power 5 opponent (Arizona State)

►One-year contract extension; $10,000 raise, beginning next season; $25,000 bonus this season: Sixth win, eligible for non-CFP bowl game (Because team played in, and won, bowl game, agreement set to run through Dec. 31, 2027. Scheduled total pay for that season would be at least $620,000.)

►$10,000: Seventh regular season win

►$2,500: Eighth regular season win

►$15,000: Tie for Mid-American Conference division title, but not advancing to MAC title game

►$25,000 bonus this season, additional $10,000 raise, beginning next season (see above for impact on total pay): Win non-CFP bowl game"

Don't know if Darius Miles was a teammate of Noah at IMG.
