RE: UMass-vs-MAC future schedules note
All good and let me know if you make the trip in 2026. In 2024 have wanted to go to the Glass Bowl for a long time. IDK, like to drive but may take 2 stop overs as no longer like to push it too much. Time will tell.

Like to say it's a full MAC 8 game schedule, however spread over 2 years. Wish the MAC added WKU as would have given the MAC more depth and more on par with CUSA in basketball. That said see little desire by CUSA for a northern team as UMass as they had an opportunity to help the east coast teams and decline, knowing Marshall would defect to the Sunbelt with others, including a potential target of JMU. Heard from a well connected guy that if Middle Tenn and WKU went to the MAC, CUSA was willing to add UMass and UConn as FB only.

This year UConn has turned the corner and hoping the same for us in 2024, the year of 5 MAC games, with 4 MAC away games.

Need to add above Miami 9/28/2024

I try to stick with what's posted on fbschedules, and the Miami-O game isn't there yet (1-29-23). But your posts are always factual, so ... is that at yours or theirs?

As to a trip in 2026 ... whew, I guess I'm older than you are and don't drive much long, even around Chicagoland. But you can bet if I'm upright I'll be watching. Your guys will be trying to get back at ours for 2024 (haha).

Best.

Hmm I'll be 66 this year. Notice a drop off in capabilities in my early 60's, hoping to drive as the price of airfare plus car rental can added up. Do not like driving to Logan as mostly ignorance since they had expensive parking and general go out of Providence and stay over the night before next to the airport. Know some Toledo fans posted fairly cheap trip flights. But also tend to chose Southwest as my cousin used to fly for them, great bag check in and change policies. Hoping they will update their systems to prevent another holiday meltdown.

Do see it on both our schedules and Miami OH!

Thanks. I saw and added. I don't check fbschedules every day, but I like to keep whatever I post as up-to-date as possible.

Wow ... 4 road games vs. MAC in 2024.

Beyond that I think everybody is waiting to see what happens in 2025 with CFP and other changes.

@pvk75 Definitely and we need to be much better to have a shot for a home. Perhaps with UConn if WKU becomes OK with the new CUSA, media contract and a Top 25 BB team in the conference.

UMass and UConn FB only should they move to the AAC or MAC. AAC makes more sense geographically considering Temple, Army, and Navy.

The AAC is not looking for FB only and made a special exception for Army. Why would the AAC take UConns FB after they took their ball to the Big East. Never happens.

With 0:58 left in our Army win, it was said that our AD was looking for a whole conference move!
