I hope nobody watched JMU-GSU. That was a horrid exhibit of basketball from the teams, from the broadcast, and especially the commentary.

I have to admit... Southern Miss is the real deal after seeing them for the first time.

I haven't seen an SBC team with this combination of size, shooting ability, athleticism, and overall talent since the 2016 Little Rock team.

bottom line: we're 12-2 with 17 more to go ... ULM and arky st pulling out vics tonight is nice to see as well ... can only help our NET moving forward ... my best guess is we can only lose 3/4 tops before the con tourney to have any chance of an at-large ... first two weeks in Jan will play large with all 4 on the road...

this is a one-year ticket only for the buzzards ... it's a full reload going into '23-'24.... that's how big this season is for the eagles today and the subsequent ones...

kudos for the kind words ... ain' no homer when I bet my $$$ ... yeah, this cast of characters are legit...

IMO, this is the best defensive team we've ever had .... and don't kid yourself, y'all don't suck ... tonight was a defensive battle for 40 mins by both teams ... you guys are going to hurt a few fweeewins before this season is over ... again, if Crowley doesn't have the steals he forced, we don't win tonight...

I'm happy the refs let 'em play ... there were more no-calls that I can recount (both sides) .... I like those type of games...

not only could I not take Troy +7 when we were up by 11 b/c, well muh muh muh who the fk knows why ... I even borrowed two phones with different service and still couldn't pull up the live-in on my site...

The game was a bit sloppy, but “horrid”? No. Tight man defense tends to make a game look choppy and physical. JMU’s D, however, was a thing of beauty.

Coming off Christmas break might have contributed to the poor shooting by both teams, and JMU was missing a starting shooting guard who was out with an illness. I believe GSU was also without one of the Panthers top players. But a win is a win is a win, regardless of style points. The broadcast commentary is what it was. I’ve heard better, but also a lot worse. Obviously, the TV play-by-play and color guy were GSU centric talking heads because they’re paid by GSU to host on GSU’s home court. Nothing wrong with it. On the other hand, the officials were some combination of inept, blind or drunk. I was hoping SBC crews would be better than what JMU experienced with CAA refs, but it’s just a one game sample so I’ll suspend judgement for the moment.

So is Jeff Jones on the hot seat ODU fans?
