What do you mean successor?
The DC for next year is the DE coach Ben Needham and the Safety's coach Taver Johnson.
Or do you mean since we have a slot open?
Chuck shouldn't be the DE coach, Ben has literally be one of the best in the country. He has coached both maxx and now Jose.

My top Target for that role would be Jake Chestnut at Notre Dame Ohio
He coached a linebacker to the top 15 of the D2 ranks
Also is he young and hungry so I could very well see him willing to move
Speaking of location, he knows the area, he recruits it after all so not much of shift there
Also he is their DC, and this pass season he made a player a top linebacker last year, (Nathan Moore finished in the top 15 total tackles, top 10 solo tackles, and top 50 tackles for loss) he got his defense in the top 25 for total defense and the top 50 in redzone defense
I don't know what he is paid but it is lower than we would give him
The guy should pan out

Another pick could be Garret Gillick who has had a stellar track record at New Hampshire
He is only paid $58,000 so $78,000 is a substantial increase

I'm staying away from these 'successor' (pick a coach) threads. They are among the worst on this board.

We would do better trying to pick the lottery or okay, the final score of the Lions' game this Saturday.
