Please quit grumbling about Coach Creighton. He is the best thing to come to Yspilanti and is good for the MAC. Just ask Akron why they fired the only coach to ever win a bowl game for them (Bowden). You had a great season. be happy. We don't need any more Coach Ianellos or Coach Arths in this conference. Give Creighton a huge salary increase and buy-out and be grateful. Somehow Creighton is making chicken soup out of turnips and magic beans and "Dear" Ken Barna is still complaining. WTF!? If somehow EMU fires Creighton and they go back to the dredges of the MAC like Akron did to punish the rest of us after firing Bowden, then they need kicked out.

I think the rest of the MAC fans are more grateful of Creighton and Bowden than the EMU and Zips fans.

Toledo needs to stop complaining about Candle too. 2 MAC Championships & another bowl win over a good Liberty program everyone's been ranting & raving about.

Both are good coaches though.

EMU 2022 reminds me of CMU 2021. They were probably playing the best of any MAC team heading into the bowls, but just lost the 'wrong' games earlier in the season so missed the MACC.

I've always said that Creighton gets serious calls if he got to Ford Field. But this season's been pretty solid: 9 wins, P5 win, convincing bowl win. A solid resume.

I know CC has been rightfully credited with reviving the moribund EMU program after so many years of futility. Although I doubt EMU would've continued being that bad even if CC wasn't the coach. I believe the days of a program being a cellar-dweller decade in, decade out, are over in the MAC. It's gotten more muddy with parity over time, especially with the advent of the transfer portal.

Creighton getting 9 wins, a P5 win, and a bowl win at EMU is huger than any other coach except an Akron coach going undefeated in the MAC and winning the championship. Creighton dominates the MAC if he is allowed to coach just about any other team in the MAC. Id take him at Miami

After getting blown out at home by NIU, some fans were rightfully critical. There was the thought that Creighton had hit his peak at 7 wins, and he wasn’t the person to get us to the “next level”.

What happened after that? Well, he told the DC to be more aggressive in secondary coverage, and he turned over the play calling to his QB coach. Those are significant changes to make during the season. So, I don’t think it is fair to call out fans for being critical. Changes needed to be made; thankfully, they were made early enough to salvage the season.

You guys went from Toledo 2018-2021 to Toledo 2022 in 6 games. All of the adjustments that worked for you, worked for us but through 5 seasons of middling.

I think EMU and Toledo will be heavy favorites in the MAC West in 2023. May the best squad win. Hopefully it's in mid October for a capacity Saturday crowd.

If the talent matched scheme, EMU would be a 10 win team throughout Creightons tenure. Candle has beaten Creighton at depth, and position quality. Both are about equal now in top tier "dudes." Your DE was as good as they come, but our Dline as a whole was better. The same goes for RB and QB rooms. I like that Eagle OL a bunch.
