Red Birds got some separation before halftime. Cougars got 3 charge calls against them as the have attacked the lane.

Another game got away from Chicago. With a minute to go the game was still in question. CSU held ISU scoreless for almost 3 minutes between 4 and 1 minute to go. A handful of missed free throws, a turnover, and call that didn’t go their way kept this game from coming down to the wire. 66-52 final.

The road swing continues a little longer, so hopefully some wins at home will propel this team in the new year. Experience is their main deficit, but it’s a very talented team.

The schedule does ease up a little in January. At least a few winnable games. And we haven't been blown out of many games. Northwestern and Kent State, maybe.

Well, the Cougars have played 4 tier 1 teams and 2 tier 2 teams. So those losses are sort of expected in a year like this. Most of the tier 3 and 4 losses were winnable. Many were close games. While some of the games in the season were blowouts, the margin has tightened up significantly, even against some pretty good teams.

Chicago State around 275 NET currently. Highest was around 250.
