And yes, Answer, this should actually help our metrics. AK did some light politicking yesterday in the postgame for a multi-bid CUSA, with the conference being 10th in KenPom at the moment.
The conference has the highest chance of having 2 bids it's had in a long time. Several teams in the top ~60-70 with chances to get into at large range, and maybe a couple of others who could get in the conversation with a big run..
We really need one team to separate itself and then lose in the conference tournament for things to work out. While we have some nice OOC wind as a whole, there is nothing tremendous. West Virginia would have been so big for us and the conference this season.

Probably the most excited I've been for a regular season CUSA matchup since Charlotte returned to CUSA.

Any chance of ice postgame? When are temps expected to begin falling off the cliff?

Temperatures will plummet after 9 p.m., going below freezing around midnight or 1 a.m. Expected below 20 after 4 a.m.
When the winds start howling with gusts above 30 mph, probably around 9 p.m., you will know the arctic front has arrived. Jeepers!
We should be fine.

We’ve had good games with Charlotte since I was in undergrad and they had the white guy that would launch threes from near half court but shot around 50% from the free throw line.. I’m pretty sure they were part of the 5-6 way tie at the top of the conference in 2003-2004

RE: Charlotte 49ers
We haven't done a great job of forcing our tempo on other teams a lot of times, especially against teams that are as good as, or better than us.
UNT, USC, WVU, USF, SLU, the losses to bottom feeders all come to mind from last year. We were maddeningly content with playing at UNT's snail's pace last year, and really made very little attempts to speed up those games (Especially the game at home). We've done a better job at that this year, but I also think our schedule has been weaker overall..
Our half court offense isn't great. We are very mediocre when we just dribble the ball up, run a set, drain the block, and play Mike Davis ball. We have to be better at forcing the other team to play to our strengths..
If we let Charlotte slow the game down, we may very well lose this game. This will be the best team we've played at home by a good margin I think. We could've easily lost to USA at home. That was just a couple of weeks ago...
