RE: Coastal Carolina vs East Carolina in Birmingham Bowl
I know this thread has divulged into an AAC vs. SBC thread, but if anyone is going to the bowl game and needs recs on Birmingham stuff feel free to DM me. I'm happy to answer any questions you have!
As for the game itself, I'm definitely going to be there. I really enjoy watching both of these squads and am very happy they were picked for this bowl.

Did you type wet fart and auto correct kicked in?
The days of long time or recent SBC members coveting the AAC are over
Personally I would like ECU in the SBC but if it never happens, so what? Enjoy the Charlotte travel partner

Tbf, ECU getting stuck with Charlotte every year at least adds a conference win. UTSA gets the same with Rice. It’s not all awful
Also as much as it feeds my ego, whoever said UTSA>Cincy is just lul. Unless you meant purely if the football teams played right now on a neutral field (and even then it’s close). Until we upgrade our high school gym and get a real basketball stadium, we’ll never be comparable to Cincy/Houston/UCF.
Wish the Coastal from a month ago was playing this game. Would’ve been so much more fun from a neutral fans perspective.

Staggs is the interim Head Coach. All that needs to be said. Pound East Carolina.

Any word on McCall?
I saw where Coastal's top pass rusher is leaving.
Transfer portal is stupid.

The reason why you had to stoop so low for C-USA schools is because some of us weren't interested in you.
Y'all so delusional over here omg
Delusion is pretending the AAC will remain the same caliber now that it has become CUSA 2.0. Any fan left in the AAC today is looking at their schedule next year and wondering if they should continue paying similar pricing for season tickets, the value is certainly less.
Take a picture of the AAC bowl lineup in 2022 and your TV slots. In three years it's going to look much different and the laughing memes will age poorly.

Haven't heard anything on McCall yet.
Electric, do-it-all WR Jared Brown stated he's coming back next season earlier this morning. Hopefully that's a sign for more key pieces to return.

There is a better team than each Big 12 exilie that is joining or already in the AAC this year already.
Tulane > UCF
UTSA > Cincinnati
Multiple > Houston
We will have a few with 10-2 / 12-0 type records that top the G5 each year. I guess you'll be shocked? Yes, very.
We're using the same approach that put us at the top and has had us dominate the G5..
I'm in denial because i'm stating facts? Each one of those teams performed better than their comparison. A B12 ex didn't even win the AAC lol.
I can't wait for a team SBC fans bash joining the AAC win it like FAU or UTSA and end the season in the College Football Playoffs.
It's going to be hilarious.
The Pirates played all 4 teams moving to the B12 this year. Beat BYU and UCF, lost to Cincy at Nippert by 2 (would've won if we had a FG kicker ), but got completely plastered at home the next week by Houston as a double digit favorite. Also lost to a good NC State team by 2 (ditto on the missed field goal).
The Pirates are definitely trending upwards but seem to have an identity crisis off and on the last 2 years. Coach Houston is known to like an overly conservative game. Sometimes it works, sometimes it looks like crap. If McCall is still banged up the Pirates could have a field day. If not, CCU could roll. Either way I think it will be a good game.

I’m glad he’s playing. Would not have meant much to beat CC w/o him.

It's looking more and more like CCU might lose their final three games by a combined 100 points. And some chicken fans still think they'll be back on top of the East next year.

RE: Coastal Carolina vs East Carolina in Birmingham Bowl
There aren't many schools I would want to join the Sun Belt, but I would say ECU would be one of my top candidates.
That being said, the Sun Belt doesn't NEED anyone.
I, for one, am very happy with the SB right now and I expect the stock to continue to rise.
I hope Coastal wins, but I think there's just too much happening behind the scenes to overcome.

The only chance CCU has is I bet on ECU to cover.

I wouldn't brag about that. Everybody was beating us during that time. Even lost to NC A&T.
