Summing up what I've read, and a lot of it comes from Tony Paul's Twitter account...

First QL seemed very possible, then Arizona Bowl and now seems the potato bowl.

Couple thoughts:

1). EMU has never been to the potato bowl. Are we due for our turn? Ave. high/low for Dec 20 is 38 / 25.

2). What about the QL bowl? We were there in 2019. If we don't go, who does? Consensus among fans is that the MAC team should be from MI, TOL, or BG. They have the best chance of bringing say 15 - 25K. W/out a B1G team, a regional MAC team is a must. Could TOL go? They were there yesterday, BUT Ford Field is what 50 or 60 miles away so who cares. Gas prices are falling fast. Metro Detroit prices $1 /gas cheaper than a month ago according to AAA.

3). Arizona bowl has been talked about but no reason we should be favored to go there or favored not to go there.

4). I'm not aware of serious thought of 'none of the above.'

Players obviously want to go where it is warm. Arizona is warm. QL is warm, inside. Boise???

Expectation is Boise for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

The EMU Football Banquet is at 4:00 this afternoon. Likely it will be announced to the team at the banquet.

I was planning on going if it's not in Bosie! It could be 25-30 degrees! But, Every MAC school has to take its turn! Regardless, 8-4, and A bowl game is an amazing season!

The bowl selection show is on ESPN at noon. They are announcing the four teams that made the playoffs at 12:15, usually they talk about that and start announcing the other NY6 games 15-30 minutes after. Apparently they are announcing the other bowl games at 2:30, at least that is how I understood it from what they said on the radio this morning.

So, I would think word on matchups will start leaking out between 12:30-2:30.

EDIT: Apparently they are announcing the rest of the NY6 games at 2:30. So we probably won't know until after that.

In Boise vs. San Jose State would be a blast.

3:30pm on a Tuesday, not great for TV viewership.

7-4 record. A pretty even match-up for us.

Maybe we get an edge playing in cold weather?
