ECU is very young if you look at their roster. They rely heavily on the three ball taking almost half of their shots(47.2%) from three. In their last game against Campbell they took 56 shots and 27 were from three. They made 12-27 from three and 15-17 FT's. They are +5 in rebounds per game.

There isn't much to fear against EZU. They're young, they rely on three, they don't turn their opponent over and they aren't particularly good on defense. UNCW defends the three well, we don't turn the ball over, we rebound well and we cause turnovers. If we can stop them from heating up from three this should be a win. Add that to finally coming back home to Trask and we might see a game a high pressure game filled with fast breaks off TO's and missed threes by EZU.

Excellent analysis. I didn’t realize they were so young. Hope it goes down like this. My guess is that the Hawks will open as a 6-7 point favorite and they have out- performed against the spread most of the time.

I do like our defensive pressure a lot! That is something that teams have a difficult time with. And, we are never out of a game either because of it and the make up of the roster. Fun, fun team!!

Good write up 82, the only thing i don't agree with is "not much to fear". they do rely on the three, and while we have played great D defending the three is the weakness.

Stats show a wash from perimeter. Bucs have 2 really good shooters however so stats don’t tell you everything- they are the key if ECU were to pull off the upset. Hawks perimeter defense passes eye test most of the time, not always.

Conventional wisdom would scream that a team that beat Missouri State, Vermont and North Texas on a neutral should handle ECU but you have to play the games.

Hawks will be favored by 6-7 points.

They SHOULD win, but the one struggle we have had is 3 points D. And they have a few shooters. We definitely don't need to over look them

Agree wholeheartedly Hoops!! This program’s mentality is all about preparing the right way and buying in. Hopefully they will continue to do that on and off the court. Midterms are right around the corner. Most guys don’t go pro in hoops so it’s important to go pro in something!

UNCW is 6-1 against the spread this year, so I like our chances tonight.

But until we get our offense really rolling, I wouldn't expect to get much love from analysts and odds makers.
