It starts on defense. We have just let them back us to the hoop anytime they want to.

What is it with these Sunday ESPNU games? I remember the ODU game last year was the same thing.

Defense isn’t great but shooting 32% isn’t gonna win many games. Ugly half.

Has anyone else seen a team shoot such a poor percentage on layups, hook shots, put backs, and shots close to the hoop in general? Or am I crazy? It’s incredibly frustrating.

Gaines is getting pushed around on defense. We need to pressure more out at the 3 point line and make these guys pick up dribble. We’re just letting the bounce freely and back us down.

Dear Blazers, you are in the court with an elite shot blocker. Stop shooting crappy hook shots from 12 feet and when you are in the paint dunk the ball. Make them foul you. You aren’t getting away with dinky soft play on this team. They are here to kick your tail. Man up.

We got a nice spark there at the end of the half by pressuring them. Hope to see more of that in the second half.

We are really lacking a second shooter on this team.

La. brewer is both a non-assertive player and we do not run plays for him. He could and should be the second shooter we are lacking.

Well we're getting good looks close to the basket and actually hitting them so far this half, but USA is not going to go away.

Gaines is getting bodied this game. His lack of size and waifish frame are being exposed against a team that plays like USA

hopefully the technical foul against USA gets us going

South looks like a pretty good team. If we can pull this out I'd say we picked up a solid victory.

Are we going to change anything about our defense?! We are letting them post us up one on one every single possession. We are doing nothing to take them out of their offense. This game is giving me UNT vibes from last year where we made zero adjustments the entire game

AK has to make some adjustments on defense

La brewer has been atrocious today. Can’t hit the broad side of a barn, or make layups

If AK refuses to make adjustments on defense and is content with them posting up our guards and scoring at will, we will lose this game

At this point I'm just good with coming out of this game with a W and moving on. This has been so ugly. Why we leave Jelly on Moore without help is beyond me.

Are we ever going to have someone that can just hit an open three. Recruit a couple of pure shooters for God's sake.

At this point Jelly just needs to take over. We are going to need him to go on one of his streaks and end up with 30. Since we are just going to let these guys shoot 4 footers all game without at least fouling the heck out of them for trying it, they will score above our preferred line and I don’t see us executing enough in the half court unless Jelly goes off
