Likely Florida recruiting and better jumping off point to an SEC or high level Big 12 job. Cincy is a better springboard to a Big 10.

Coaching can be regional. Fickell was in talks with Michigan State and went to Wisconsin, rather than Texas or Auburn. Kiffin landed his job at Ole Miss from FAU. UAB is in a similar spot regionally. It's just easier to recruit South Florida.

I did not state it was inevitable. I stated it is a danger. Furthermore, a retread is "a person returned to active work after retirement, dismissal, etc". Saban does not fit the description of a failed retread for college work, but others do fit (e.g., Randy Edsall).

I have lived here my whole life so I would have to agree. Not a bad place to reload your career especially with the players in Florida. I have already seen a few shout outs from local high school coaches.

How dare you say he could be looking to retire. He turned down that Power 5 job to live in a retirement community because he is highly motivated.

Amen, although not under the same circumstances. Tubby was coming off a successful season at TX Tech and we lured him away. He started the retirement process and full fledged nepotism after joining Memphis.
