WBB @ Loyola MD
Game was another education day game with an 11:30 AM start.
Rockets prevail in a somewhat lackluster performance 62-40. Although Loyola has 4 wins already, they are all over very poor teams, and they were without their 2nd best player today, with an injury. Rockets kinda sleepwalked through the 1st half it seemed, but played better in the 2nd (kinda like against LMD last year at Savage.) Observations:
- Q had a nice easy 17 points, shooting 7-11 including 3-4 from three
- UT shot well from three, 7-15 overall
- Jansen found her shooting touch, and King too, as they combined for 17
- Cook a nice game with 10 points and 7 boards
- Rockets forced 22 turnovers
on the other hand
- Wiard has lost her shot and needs to find it before MAC play starts. 0 points, but she did have 5 assists
- Rockets had a hard time with layups, missing several easy ones and getting the ball knocked out of their hands by defenders down low
- LMD dominated the boards at times, UT didn't block out well
- Brewer did some good things, but also made several mistakes. She looked really dejected when she was taken out the last time in the game. Hope she stays focused and gets more rotations, because they are gonna need her in MAC play.
Q 17 points, 5 assists
Cook 10 points 7 boards
King 9 points
Sammi 8 points, 8 boards, 3 assists
Jansen 8 points, 2 assists
Brewer 5 points
Garcia 3 points
Goss 2 points
Wiard 0 points, 5 assists 3 rebounds

RE: WBB @ Loyola MD
Good game summary. Coach Cullop is giving the team off to recover/rest from this road trip.
Need to be ready for Missouri State

Yeah, Brewer only played five minutes in a blowout, the same minutes that Soleil Barnes got and only half of what Yani Curry got. I noticed in one of our home games Cullop showing frustration with Brewer. Hope whatever problems exist get sorted out.
