RE: Championship Week Pick'em
Point of curiosity. A few of us finished at 62-35. Zibby finished at 62-37. How does one get extra points in the loss column? And if that’s correct, would 62-37 not be a lower finishing score than 62-35?

Aside from that, thank you for running this, and congrats to george14, a noble champion!

Thank you! So did I win or did Boca Rocket win?

Also are we including the Bowl games?

Oh yeah, I see you have one more ‘wrong’ point than Boca. What causes that? Unless somebody missed picking a game. And yeah, are we doing bowls?

It's a quirk of the bonus system. zibby got the bonus for guessing the championship game correctly, which resulted in 6 "wins". However, getting the championship game wrong only results in 1 "loss". Prior to this week zibby was 56-36 and you were 61-34. Zibby correctly guessed Toledo and incorrectly guessed Akron, resulting in a 6-1 score. You correctly guessed Buffalo and incorrectly guessed Ohio, resulting and a 1-1 score. The tie breaker is the aggregate total of wins and losses to encourage weekly participation. However, because the bonus is only for getting it right, those that correctly guessed the championship game got an extra 5 games in the aggregate compared to those who got it wrong. The bowl pick'em will function similarly with correct guesses being worth a x2 bonus.

You're in the lead at this point based on the aggregate tiebreaker. Boca Rocket missed the Miami @ NIU game in Week 12, resulting in one fewer pick.

I'm posting the Bowl Pick'Em today.

Thanks for that explanation! And sorry I crowned a champ too soon!

No worries! It can get confusing this time of year.
