After Jason Garrett dropped out, it appears Sac St coach Taylor is the main guy Stanford is looking at.
Both UIW & potentially Sac St are still playing in the playoffs with a head coach already out the door.

Shinnick started his career as Offensive Line coach, at Richmond (1988), under Dal Shealy.

West Florida started the football program in 2016 and Shinnick has been their only head coach in school history. He's lead them to three Division II semifinal appearances, two national title game appearances, and the 2019 Division II National Championship.

Shinnick has a 56-21 record at West Florida and went over 150 career wins as a head coach earlier this season.

This will be Shinnick's fourth stop in his successful coaching career, which includes a 50-24 record in seven seasons at UNC Pembroke from 2007-13, and 53-22 in seven seasons at Azusa Pacific from 1999-2005.

Looks like an excellent hire.
