RE: Best Hammock Recruit?
No need to call people dumb for having differing opinions. I don't even know any of the people on there making the comments. But there are a lot of them and they don't like the direction.
You're putting an awful lot of faith in two players to make this a winning team. Lombardi played vs. EIU and Tulsa. We barely beat EIU and we lost to a bad Tulsa.
Lombardi first needs to be granted a 7th year by NCAA and Rudolph is returning from a knee injury (and could also choose to transfer). Since Jordan Lynch, I don't think we've had a QB stay healthy and play a full season.
Don't forget, that terrible defense losses five starters (two DEs, two LBs, and one CB). Doubtful that magically makes them better.

The MAC is so bad right now that if you can roll a warm body out there at QB you have a chance. Its an 7-5/8-4 team with Rocky and a 3-9 team without him. That's thin ice. If Ham can pull a stud QB out of the portal every other year, well then, more power to him. I'd prefer he build quality all over the field with something that lasts.
I dunno, we rolled a warm body QB out there and got steamrolled by a terrible Akron team. Meanwhile they play a backup QB and trample all over us. We don't appear to have the same depth as our own MAC peers.

He was not. He missed a portion of one game (I think) and missed the WMU game we got trampled in.

I really meant a capable warm body. You don't need a Harnish or Lynch. You can win in this MAC with a Maddie or Lombardi. We basically have corpses behind Rocky.

He missed literally one play against Kent and then they rested him against WMU because they had already clinched the west. This feels disingenuous. Bowers was healthy for the (albeit short) 2020 season too.

Toledo clinched the West and they still played Finn at QB in their last game. I'm sure if Lombardi was healthy they would have played him vs. WMU.
I know Bowers missed time in one of his seasons due to concussions.

We dominated with Harnish and Lynch. In early 2000s we had great running backs but never won th MAC. Lombardi is just a tad below the other two. You need a stud QB to win

Finn will probably win the MACC. He is very far from a stud.
