As we've witnessed in the past, there are some excellent players at programs such as New Mexico--simply not enough of them to be impactful. With the advent of the portal/NIL we're seeing the minor league/major league system in full bloom in the NCAA. It's good to be on the right side of the growing chasm between G5 and P5.
Here's hoping he can contribute valuable minutes to a promising defense.
Quote:Satterfield, who was hired at Cincinnati after Luke Fickell departed for Wisconsin, has overhauled the Bearcats' offense this offseason and hired 29-year coaching veteran Brad Glenn to serve as the Bearcats' offensive coordinator.
Was that announced? i don't recall seeing that name previously.

It's really incredible what's happening. Hats off to Satterfield and his staff.
It was interesting to read his comments from the IPF dedication. My take was he feels he has the resources here at UC to compete for the very best talent. Louisville fans will disagree, but I believe he saw a higher ceiling here given the recent investments in athletics, a more natural recruiting base in Ohio, and a Big 12 that weathered defections and is aggressively pursuing growth. The ACC is in a rough spot with its long-term TV commitment/GOR, and the SEC and B10 sniffing around for possible defections that could destabilize it altogether.
One last thought. The Pac 12 wasn't melting down when Fickell took his act to Madison but one has to wonder with the support he had here, an IPF that will be equal to or better than Wisconsin's, and enhanced P5 recruiting, why he felt compelled to coach a program that isn't likely to get past OSU, Michigan, or Penn State most seasons.

That is a big time get! I’m pumped that we can legit compete in every game next season. Still taming my expectations for 6+ wins as a positive as we are transitioning to new conference, coaching staff, QB, and I’m not sold our O Line is solid until I see it with my eyes but I’m more than pleasantly surprised at what’s Satt’s been able to do in less than 6 months on the recruiting trail and in the portal.
Actual coaching and development of players is obviously extremely important and am TBD on that.

I don't know a thing about the Henderson kid. He's listed at 6'3 and about 200 pounds. Caught 38 balls for a tad over 400 yards and 2 TD in 11 games. That wide receiver room is going to need name tags when camp starts. Hopefully, a couple dudes emerge out of the bunch to give us adequate, consistent wide out production. We know we're going to run the ball...can we pass it outside of our tight ends and backs?
