RE: 2022 Sun Belt Conference OPOY Discussion
If I had to guess, I think they give OPOY to Grayson McCall and Sun Belt POY to Todd Centeio...
But those are the favorites either way...

I didn’t follow the west enough to be informed. I’m sure all the standouts can’t be in the East.

I was shocked. All the heavy hitters were in fact the East.

I voted for USA’s La’Damian Webb. Hasn’t been healthy most of the season but still has 1000 yards and 5.2 ypc. Had he played against Troy, I 100% believe we’re 11-1 and hosting the championship game next week.

We were down all three starting receivers, so if you get Webb back, we get our guys back too
And by the Webb did play vs Troy. He had 8 carries, he just wasn't 100% healthy.

He was out by the 2nd quarter (3 drives, I believe). I’ll also add our other injuries then. I’ll take that rematch any day of the week with Webb (or without him).

Gotta rep Frank Gore Jr. here. He’s a stud in any league on any team. 199 yards rushing tonight. Tough as nails.

RE: 2022 Sun Belt Conference OPOY Discussion
McCall lost to ODU so he’s instantly disqualified. JMU was stacked and would have won a lot without Centeio. GS overachieved massively and it’s thanks to 3500 yards and a 127 passer rating. KVT just wins. App State. Nebraska. Whatever. GS wins one game (ODU) without him.

Can't see how it would or should be anyone other than Grayson McCall.

Actually, Kyle V had a big night tonight....
But I know we stonewalled him last week.
Do we really think he'll get OPOY? A LOT of picks...

Webb was hurt but tried to give it a go. He only had one carry the week before against ULM and really needed one more week to recover. #2 RB Braylon McReynolds was out all game. #3 RB Terrion Avery had quit the team for not getting enough carries. So we played most of the game with #4 and 5 RBs Omni Wells and Marco Lee; Webb was more of a decoy to try and open up the passing game. Either way, it was a loss. A lot went against the Jags in that game and Troy came out on top. I’m not convinced if we played the game 10 times Troy would win more than USA, but there’s no way to know that. I really wish USA and Troy were meeting again for the SBC Championship. That’d be a great environment.

For everyone voting on Centeio for OPOY, realize, in most of these decisions, conferences typically spread the love around.
Probably means Grayson McCall would get POY...
Rarely does one player win both awards, especially when it's tight like this.

I just reread his numbers, and TC is certainly deserving. GM's TD/INT ratio is insane, but TC's numbers are better overall.
